The Heart of It is committed to supporting and sustaining accessible, educational, and collaborative spaces for writers, especially those who have faced barriers-of-entry due to systemic obstacles. Your contribution helps us sustain this vital work. One-time and recurring donations help us:

  • Procure seed funding to purchase land to create and steward a community-driven writers sanctuary.

  • Build capacity as we search for a permanent, sustainable home.

  • Offer low and no-cost in-person and online programming to writers, artists, and community organizers.

  • Build collaborative curriculum and programming to create, learn, and dedicate time to life-sustaining writing and creativity.

  • Offer and obtain mentoring and educational experiences for teaching artists and community organizers to lead their own radical creative spaces in their community.
